Colwell Law Group Hosts Inaugural “Chasing Bluebird Days for Kevin” 5K and Kids Run in Honor of Co-Founder Kevin Colwell
Saratoga Springs, NY – September 23, 2025 – The Colwell Law Group proudly sponsored the inaugural Chasing Bluebird Days for Kevin 5K and 1-Mile Kids Run on Saturday, September 20, at Saratoga Spa State Park. The event, graciously co-sponsored by several local businesses, honored the memory of Kevin Colwell, co-founder of the Colwell Law Group, who tragically died in a skiing accident earlier this year.
More than 200 participants registered for the family-friendly event, which celebrated Kevin’s legacy of perseverance, adventure, and community spirit. Proceeds from the race will be donated to Outward Bound, a leading provider of experiential and transformative outdoor education programs for youth and adults.
“Kevin believed deeply in the power of the outdoors to challenge and inspire people. He lived with intention and passion, reminding us that life isn’t about waiting for the right moment but living fully in the one we’re in.” said Mary Colwell, his wife and CEO and co-founder of The Colwell Law Group. “This race was a beautiful way to honor his memory while giving back to a cause deeply aligned with his values.”
The Chasing Bluebird Days for Kevin event was professionally managed by ARE Event Productions (A.R.E.E.P) and brought together families, runners, and community members for a morning of remembrance, wellness, and connection. Participants of all ages joined in the spirit of the event—whether running/walking the 5K course or cheering on the kids’ 1-mile run-on a beautiful bluebird day
The Colwell Law Group extends heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, volunteers, and community partners who helped make the inaugural event a great success. Plans are already underway to continue the event next year.
