Sabastian S. Piedmont is a Managing Attorney at The Colwell Law Group, LLC. Prior to joining The Colwell Law Group, LLC, Mr. Piedmont worked as a Managing Partner for a general practice/litigation firm’s Central New York office, and as an associate attorney for a mid-sized, established law firm based in Syracuse. Mr. Piedmont, a former teacher, has extensive experience representing both corporate and individual clients in cases involving New York State’s Education Law (counselling school districts and parents with minor children); New York State’s employment and municipal laws; and, representing individuals’ complaints before the New York State Division of Human Rights (NYSDHR), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB).

Mr. Piedmont has been recognized by the Onondaga County Bar Association Bar Reporter and other regional publications/journals for his rise to local law firm management before the age of 30. Mr. Piedmont was also a recipient of SUNY Brockport’s 2023 “10 under 10 Award,” which recognizes SUNY Brockport’s 10 GOLD (Graduates Of the Last Decade) alumni that have made a noticeable impact in their communities, organizations and professional fields.
Mr. Piedmont received his Juris Doctor and Certificate of Advanced Study in National Security & Counterterrorism Law from Syracuse University College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Brockport. Mr. Piedmont is admitted to practice in New York State.
Mr. Piedmont’s many interests include music – including performing and attending music concerts – and his continued focus on the development of an energetic dedication to being a loyal fan of sports teams based in Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo.
