Prior to becoming an Associate Attorney at The Colwell Law Group, LLC, Ms. Edwards worked in Vermont-based law firms specializing in the areas of family, contract, business, and labor and employment laws. Ms. Edwards represented clients before courts and other adjudicating bodies, where she worked in the area of parental rights and responsibilities and in complex matters involving domestic violence. Ms. Edwards also developed an expertise in handling criminal cases, where she litigated misdemeanors and felonies from arraignment to trial.
Ms. Edwards graduated from William S. Richardson School of Law at University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (Honolulu, HI). Ms. Edwards received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Boston University. Ms. Edwards is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Vermont.
Ms. Edwards is an avid horse trainer and competitor, and previously worked as a horse-riding instructor. Ms. Edwards is also a passionate traveler, especially to destinations in the Americas and the European Union.

Attorney Kevin Colwell (Kevin) and his firm helped my wife and I sell our house. It had been nine years since I sold a house, so I needed to be guided through the entire process, from the contract to the sale. A couple of snags arose during the deal where Kevin had to advise us on how to respond, for example, to the buyer’s discovery of deficiencies in the structure. His advice proved to be right on target, keeping the buyers from dropping the deal. We exchanged many emails, with his responses to my questions or concerns coming promptly and with clear answers or explanations.
