Paul J. Tortora, Jr., a Senior Associate Attorney at The Colwell Law Group, LLC, is based in the firm’s Syracuse regional office. For almost a decade, Mr. Tortora has passionately represented clients in the family law setting. Mr. Tortora is an aggressive and goal-driven advocate who is knowledgeable in the law and who is both intently aware of the facts of his cases and needs of each and every one of his clients. Mr. Tortora demonstrates daily and with abundance his expertise in helping clients navigate New York State Supreme, Family and local courts on all matters he handles for The Colwell Law Group, LLC.

Mr. Tortora has developed his expertise in matrimonial and family laws in courts throughout Central New York. This expertise evolved from Mr. Tortora’s work in divorce proceedings and matters sounding in custody, domestic violence, child and spousal support, paternity and separation agreements. Mr. Tortora also has extensive experience in the areas of real estate, immigration, professional licensing, and estate planning. Mr. Tortora previously served as a Senior Associate Attorney for a litigation firm in Syracuse; represented indigent clients in family law matters for the Hiscock Legal Aid Society; owned and managed his own firm in Maclean, Virginia; and, worked in numerous legislative and government affairs positions for the United States Government.
Mr. Tortora graduated from Syracuse University College of Law, with specialties in the studies of National Security and Counterterrorism Law, and Global Law and Policy. Mr. Tortora received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Syracuse University. Mr. Tortora is admitted to practice in the states of New York, Virginia and Maryland, as well as in Washington D.C.
When not working, Mr. Tortora is focused on the Miami Dolphins, the New York Yankees and all Syracuse University teams. Most importantly, Mr. Tortora spends quality time (which includes what sometimes seems like an inordinate amount of driving) with his three young children.
