Andrew T. Botts

Andrew T. Botts graduated, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law in 2011. While there, he served as the Form and Accuracy Editor with the Journal of International Law and Commerce. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Botts also graduated with a certificate of advanced studies in Counterterrorism and National Security Law from Syracuse University’s Institute for Security Policy and Law.

Following law school, Mr. Botts served as an Assistant District Attorney in St. Lawrence County, where he specialized in the investigation and prosecution of narcotics cases. After a year as a Special Prosecutor for New York State’s Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, where he specialized in prosecuting those who preyed on some of New York’s most vulnerable, Mr. Botts joined the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office. There, he rose from a narcotics prosecutor to handling homicides, where he and his team of detectives and investigators successfully prosecuted several murders.

Mr. Botts also serves as a Judge Advocate with the New York Army National Guard. In December of 2019, he was promoted to Captain, and in 2020, he deployed as the Senior Trial Counsel with the 42nd Infantry Division in support of Operation Spartan Shield. His awards include the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, and the Army Commendation Medal.

Mr. Botts received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science – Law and Society, with honors, from the University of California, Riverside.

Mr. Botts looks forward to using his extensive trial experience to serve the interests of his clients.

Mr. Botts currently resides in Brunswick with his girlfriend and their two cats, and enjoys being a father to his daughter, Rylee.
